Six government departments in Ningxia have jointly released a document entitled Guidelines on the Promotion of Collective Bargaining over Wages for Enterprises. The Guidelines urge enterprises in the region to implement collective bargaining mechanisms. The aim is to have 60% of employees covered by the end of this year and 90% by 2010. Items such as wages, subsidies, holidays and overtime are all specified in the document. Promotion activities of the new regulation will be held in August.
