Benchmarking Environmental Safe Best Practices and Strategic Applications to Achieve Zero Waste
Event Date: 17-18 Apr 2008 Location: Four Points By Sheraton, Shanghai, China
event overview
In China, the application of integrated environmental management system with the process of clean & efficient manufacturing is emerging rapidly, the focus, however, is increasingly shifting from combating the damage caused by pollution to preventing pollution before or during the production process. The promotion of the waste hierarchy and the implementation of waste minimisation initiatives have urged the EHS Managers & engineers reduce its focus on removing or minimizing the harmful and adverse effects of solid waste by designing safer and improved sanitary collection and disposal practices and increase its focus on designing cyclic collection, recycling and reuse. At the same time, other engineers involved in product design and materials processing will take on greater roles to improve the design of goods and products that have complete life cycles and use materials more efficiently.
Featuring intensive workshop, interactive roundtable debate, case study presentation and profound keynote speech, this two days conference, are meant to convey the best practices on the integrated waste management system with the focus on waste prevention, waste reuse & recycle, energy-to-use, advanced technology and corporate economic value.
