Introduction
As one of the most typical industry fairs conducted in China , China International Industry Fair (CIIF) will continue to put on display new and high-tech products in industrial field and reflect the standard and trend of development in industrial manufacture field. The CIIF 2006, which features the simultaneous holding of six major industrial exhibitions side by side in an area of 103,500m2, will forge an interactive production and demand chain formed by up-stream and down-stream industries. “2007 CIIF--Environmental Protection Technology & Equipment Show” will highlight the important position of environmental industry in national economy.
Being a key exhibition of the CIIF, the Environmental Protection Technology & Equipment Show (EPTES) will focus on the technology, equipment and environment monitoring systems needed by the treatment and integrated utilization of water, gas, and waste. The environmental protection industry, laurelled as a “Sunrise Industry in the twenty-1st century”, has secured a solid and stable position and plays an outstanding role in China. According to forecasting of the State Bureau of Environmental Protection, investment to be put into social environmental protection will be up to 1.375 trillion during the 11th Five-year Plan, accounting for 1.6% of GDP of the period (2006-2010). At the same time, Shanghai will proceed the 3rd “three years plan of environmental protection and construction”. The estimated investment will be 4 billion RMB, accounting for 2.5% of GDP.
2007 EPTES will follow the theme of “3R System”£¨Reduce,Reuse,Recycle£©and“Factory Symbiosis”, integrating with different industrial economy and environmental benefit, promoting saving energy¡¢water¡¢ground and material, enhancing comprehensive and circulate application of resource, improving renewable resource system, improving industrial pollution prevention and cure, using economic methods to improve marketlization process of pollution prevention and cure.  CIIF will provice a communication and corporation stage for environmental industry.
